CSR at the Helm is a fun, hands-on way to teach students of all ages about Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
This interactive game encourages students to work as a team to “steer” their cruise ship business in a sustainable direction. Suitable for economic and non-economic students alike, CSR at the Helm presents various scenarios that highlight the major themes of corporate social responsibility.
Students collaborate with their team to decide which options best balance the three Ps: people, planet, profit. Teams present their arguments for the decisions made and a class wide discussion follows. Discussions, facilitated by our staff, encourage students to consider the complexities that effect our social, ecological, and economic environments. It is only when these three pillars are balanced, that sustainability can be accomplished.
CSR at the Helm was developed by and is offered by Hogeschool-Universiteit Brussel, C.I.S. (Educational Games Center) and VKW (Employer Organization). The game is suitable for high school, technical school and higher education students. No previous background in CSR is required to play and enjoy this game. The ideal number of participants is 9 - 24 and the game lasts a total of 2 ½ - 3 hours.
CSR at the Helm can be played at your school/organization — facilitated by a trained HUB or C.I.S. staff member, or you can come to the HUB facilities.
